For us, Red Mailbox Farm is more than a beautiful place. It is a piece of our family’s story—one that began long before we ever imagined sharing it with others.

I grew up next door to this farm and knew the original owners throughout my childhood. My dad loved this land and dreamed of owning it someday. Years ago, he told the owners that if they ever decided to sell, he hoped they would give him the opportunity to know before it was placed on the market.

​

My dad passed away before that day ever came, but his words weren’t forgotten.

​

After the original owners passed away, their children prepared to sell the farm. Before listing it, they reached out to Steve and me, along with several others in the community. They weren’t simply looking for someone to purchase the property. They wanted to find a family who would love the land, work it, and care for it in a way that honored the life their parents had built here.

​

They spoke with each of us and ultimately chose our family.

​

In October 2022, we were given the opportunity to purchase Red Mailbox Farm—fulfilling a dream my dad had carried years before.

​

There was something else that made it feel as though this farm was meant to become part of our family’s story. The property connects to what was originally my grandparents’ farm, which my parents later purchased and which our family still cares for today. What had once been neighboring farms became connected again through another generation.

​

The previous owners’ family knew that Steve and I wanted many of the same things their parents had wanted for this land. We raise cattle. We bale hay. We work the fields. We’re raising our children, Chloe and Stevie, here. And we share a faith and a belief in the importance of family, hard work, and caring for what has been entrusted to us.

Since purchasing the farm, we’ve worked to make it our own without losing what makes it special. We don’t want to erase its history—we want to become another chapter in it.

And that is ultimately how Red Mailbox Farm became a wedding and event venue.

We began looking for a way to preserve the farm so that someday there would be something meaningful to pass down to our children. Opening the farm for weddings and celebrations allows us to continue caring for the land while sharing a place that has brought our own family so much peace and joy.

​

There is something special about this farm—the old barn, the rolling fields, the cattle in the pasture, the quiet evenings and the oak tree that has stood here for generations. We wanted other families to have the opportunity to experience it too, especially on some of the most meaningful days of their lives.

​

Our faith is also at the heart of what we’re building. One of our hopes for the venue is to be able to give back by opening the farm, at no charge, to Christian churches and organizations for things like picnics, outdoor services, retreats and special gatherings.

​

We believe we’ve been blessed with the opportunity to care for this place, and we want to use that blessing to serve others.

​

Red Mailbox Farm isn’t simply a venue we created.

​

It’s land we were entrusted with.

​

It’s the continuation of a dream.

​

It’s where we’re raising our family, building memories and preserving a way of life we love.

​
